"I just go and work in cafes"
Thanks to Alex J Cavanagh for this question put to Robin Stevens
Awesome, Robin , you've listed some new authors for me to explore. I've read one Jospephine Tey. I should read more.
Have you entered yet?
Perhaps you have already read one of Robin's mysteries or bought one for a child?

I love the covers! Also, I really like the format of this post. Gets to the heart of everything without taking too long to read.
ReplyDeleteAlso, HELLO! *waves*
Hi Misha, great to see you here. Thank you.
DeleteHi Madeleine and Robin - I loved crime mysteries growing up .. the ones you mention - Christie, Ngaio Marsh - who introduced us to New Zealand ... my uncle swore by Josephine Tay ... and then the others .. the Sherlocks etc - Maigret and the Third Man ... and I was off into Overseas thrillers.
ReplyDeleteClever Alex to ask about how many in the series ... as you say you could keep them coming - and why not ... keep that audience and build another series ..
Well done Robin .. cheers and thanks Madeleine for your guest - Hilary
Thanks Hilary. Glad you also enjoy crime novels. I wonder what you would make of Daisy and Hazel? x
DeleteThank you so much, Hilary! Yes, Ngaio Marsh introduced me to New Zealand as well, and now I can't think of it without her. I love her books!
DeleteI've enjoyed the interviews:) They've been fun and informative.
ReplyDeleteThanks, ladies.
Bless you too Sandra, thank you :O) x
DeleteThank you, Sandra!
DeleteI have just started reading Eva Ibbotson's The Secret of PLatform 13. A very easy and intriguing read. I think another well known author must also be a fan of her work. :O)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the series. I hope you're able to write and publish a lot of books for it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Misha, the format of these posts is great. I've enjoyed the interviews with Robin very much. I was about 12 when I read my first Agatha Christie too xx
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'm not much of a mystery reader, but the titles are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAwesome covers and I like the look of this series. I'm pleased to meet Robin.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big Agatha Christie fan too, but I must read some Josephine Tey. I've just been looking her up on Google, and she sounds fascinating!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Robin! Wishing her all the best. :) This is a fun post.
ReplyDeleteMadeleine, thanks so much for stopping by my blog this week. Have a wonderful weekend!
What an awesome post! I loved the format. I can't wait to read this series and I plan to start with the first one. I would love to write 1000 words a day! I am a slower writer and my day job gets in the way. ;) Wishing Robin the best of luck!

I had an no broadband signal time so couldn't reply to you all. Frustrating! Thanks so much Jess, Joanne, Karen, Medeia, Teresa, Crystal and Sherry. I shall announce the prize winner soon.
ReplyDeleteI used to be a full time writer but recently returned back to work. It's so weird to go from having the time to procrastinate to that not being an option anymore. Congrats on your success!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cool to meet Robin. And thanks for reconnecting on my blog. It's good to see you again. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks David. My pleasure :O)
DeleteNice to meet you, Robin! Here's looking forward to many more books in the series. If they're fun, why stop?
