I've been busy sorting out a few things work wise.
The cat needed taking to the vets...
and I've had no car for a whole week, as it required lots of repairs just when the mechanic took sick... thankfully it's back now.
So writing/blogging has been on the back burner.
I had a story rejection a couple of days ago, which sent me into those inevitable writerly doldrums...
While I try to remember that I must not dwell on the rejections and to take my example from those amazing writing bloggers like Milo who just keep sending out their stories for years until they get accepted, which helps...

Writerly Doldrums
My masterpiece rejected
I must not give up!

Waiting for my muse
I'm in a short story slump
Need a writing boost

Feeling somewhat low
I need some blogging solace
Thank you, one and all

We all have difficult weeks sometimes, but concentrate on the positive. Your Flash Fiction was ACCEPTED. Wow, that is terrific! Good for you.
ReplyDeleteYay for the acceptance! Oh and every time I'm in a writing slump, I write something imploring a muse to inspire me, and it always works!!! so I hope it worked for you.

Glad that the Flash Fiction piece was accepted. Rejections can be prickly creatures.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be nice if life always balanced out the slaps it gives you with one hand by patting you on the back with the other. Gotta accentuate the positive! Congrats on the flash fiction being accepted.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your week ended better than it began. I'm glad :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Madeleine .. what a higgledy piggledy week .. ups and downs - I hope your hubby is improving - or his ankle at least. Poor put-cat - hope she's better ... and you can recover your wits this weekend ... and enjoy the Flash Fiction piece being accepted .. good things do turn up!!
