I had a visitor on Friday and my brain felt so fogged I couldn't remember how to make a mug of instant coffee so I just made cafetière coffee, because it 's what I usually drink so it was easier to make!
When I go to put stuff away in a cupboard I find myself opening the wrong cupboard door! It's baffling and slightly worrying to be honest.
I've missed out on a few Blogfests, so if you know about any good ones please let me know.
I have, however, completed the Young Mewsletter project I started for my local branch of Cats' Protection (with a word search, book reviews and an interview with a young supporter. Plus a little piece about the stigma attached to the humble black cat).
I'm pleased with the result and hope it will generate some funds to help my hard working, dedicated colleagues manage the moggies in their care.
So how are you all at the moment?
Do you feel up-to-date with your blog followers?
Are you up-to -date with your Campaigners Group members?
Do you feel generally SWAMPED and SLUGGISH or full of VIM and VIGOUR?
Sorry to hear you've been ill, Madeleine. Is it time for another doctor visit?
ReplyDeleteSince you're blogging today, I hope that means you're feeling better now.
I'm in bed and I'm staying put.

Hi Madeleine .. sorry to hear you're feeling so sort of foggy - and I hope your parents are ok - you've got a lot going on.
ReplyDeleteI'm just overwhelmed with what I want to do .. theoretically I'm not commenting! So I'll do what I can around all things .. just lots happening ..
Look after yourself that's the most important thing .. we'll be here .. congratulations that you've done the Young Mewsletter project .. for the Cats' Protection ..
Take care and take it easy .. cheers from this brilliantly beautiful sunny day .. Hilary
Madeleine!!!! Your mewsletter is BRILLIANT!! Yayyayayayay!! Awww I wish I were between 3-16 to join up!! LOL!! Well done you!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww it's the funny weather we're having that's to blame - I seriously think that. One minute it's not warm and next thing you know - Indian Summer is upon us! No wonder brains are befuddled!!!
But seriously - please take care and hope you have a restful weekend!! x
There are always blogfests going on! Generally I don't participate because I dislike high pressure blogging where I feel I have to do something. That's how I keep from getting overwhelmed with it.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you back. Take it easy, don't think you have to function always at a high energy level. Sometimes our bodies just need us to let them rest.
Too bad that you are feeling ill. Take rest.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about what's a bother!! The mind needs complete rest to rejuvenate!! Take a short break and be back fresh!! Too much computer time does it I suppose!! Been there!!
ReplyDeleteAwww Madeleine, sounds like you need a bit of a break. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeletesorry you're not feeling all perky :(
ReplyDeleteI don't know about vim and vigor but I'm definitely busy what with revisions, 3 blogs, critting, etc.
oh, and this has nothing to do with writing but I have had, over the years, three exceedingly excellent black cats.
Sorry to hear you're not well, Madeleine. It is so easy to become swamped on here. Take it easy.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your feeling vim-less. I hope things improve for you very soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm not as up-to-date with my Campaigner Groups as I should be. I haven't posted for the Second Challenge yet, either; must do that next week!
Sorry for the fog. Interesting slug photo you found though.
ReplyDeleteThe Insecure Writer's Support Group posts next on October 5 and this Friday Matthew from the QQQE and I announce another blogfest.
Thanks everyone. I felt heaps better Sunday later afternoon, but I'm back to feeling slightly foggy again. It helped taking Vit B complex. They say it makes the brain work better.
ReplyDeleteHi, Madeleine,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you aren't well. Could it be a sinus condition or allergy. I know when I get dizzy and disoriented it's from my sinus being clogged from allergies.
I hope you feel better soon. We always miss you when you are away.
Lately I've been busy/happy. I finished my final edit (hopefully) on my latest novel. I have two more PC'S reviews. So far so good. I have been staying with the old diet and exercise thing and only have eleven more pounds to get to my desired weight which I haven't seen in ten years. SO life is pretty good at the moment.
Take care,
Michael
Hi Madeleine,
ReplyDeleteOh no, not good having that foggy feeling. However, looking on the positive side, you say sorry for not blogging. Whilst me, yes shy and humble me, apologies for blogging.
And you know what I'm like with these blogfests. They give me the opportunity to do satire alternatives to them.
Do I feel up-to-date with my blog followers? Ummm...I'm lucky to have any 'followers' with the rubbish I write. Thank goodness that Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star, takes over my site. Now, that's decent writing for you.
Take care of yourself Madeleine and watch out for those slugs, eh :)
I can't take my eyes off that slug!!
ReplyDeleteI have been busy doing lots of things, but unfortunately not all the things I NEED to do - like keeping up with the campaign! But alas, this is the way of things sometimes.
I hope you break out of your sluggishness soon - that's no fun! We used to have a black cat and he was the best kitty!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard about the Rule of Three blogfest? It sounds like a ton of fun. Let me know if you're in.
ReplyDelete^_^
As to your question, I'm sort of both, depending on my day and mood. Hope you find your vigor again soon!
Madeleine, whatever the cause, I hope you are feeling better soon. We will all be praying for you! Love, Amy
ReplyDeleteI wish I were full of vim and vigor, but I feel like you've described yourself. I'm always behind in everything anymore.

Tossing It Out
Bless you all, it's just my Grave's Disease, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteI have been feeling less muddle headed today which is a relief though I am still lacking energy.
Hey Madeline, I just wanted to let you know that I've given you a blog award over on my blog. You can find out about it here: http://findingthewriteway.blogspot.com/2011/09/one-to-follow-blog-award.html
