Daring to Haiku

Jenn at www.youknowthatblog.com has dared us to haiku.

They're playing chicken
Crossing before the train comes.

A dare's a dare, right?

So devil-may-care
He's setting you a challenge
Do you dare accept?

I'm going for broke.
On bended knee or cookie
How will I ask her?

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes. I am feeling much less foggy headed, which is great, though energy levels are still not 100%.

  1. Gosh, Madeleine! This is a devil may care sort of episode. It frightens me to be faced with such choices!

  2. Glad to hear you're feeling better - these are great, so full of anticipation in so few words. I'm going to have to get back to Haiku!

  5. Like the darting before the train dare. A lot of tension in a short amount of words there.

Glad you're feeling better too. You know I have the same thyroid issues. Some days my energy levels just plummet.

  11. These dares are usually ones young people or those with the energy of youth would pull off. The train track is my kind of image. That looks like a house to me at the end. Whatever it is, I love it!

  12. THANKS EVERYONE!

L G Smith - Bless you for your lovely comments. Interesting to hear you have thyroid problems too.

Golden Eagle - I've just added a lighter hearted one to redress the balance.

Hazel - I think it's a rather large train at the far end of the railway line.

  16. Finally a moment to sit and catch up!

Glad you're feeling better! It can really take you down, can't it? Seems the older I get the harder it is to bounce back. *sigh*

    Great set of haiku!
