  1. Totally agree about The Hobbit! Can't wait for the Hollywood adaptation. Feels like we've been waiting forever.

  2. The Handmaid's Tale wasn't up to much IMHO. I haven't read the book but it was just very pale.

    I since heard a radio interview with the director and he actually said that he had lost his interest in movie-making at that time...which is quite a confession, but it explains a lot.

    The last four on your to see list, from The Firm to Green Tomatoes, were all very good. Those are worth renting for sure, as movies. I haven't read the books.

  3. The Secret Life of Bees is a great book--and in some ways it's better than the movie. I had forgotten they'd made a movie of Matilda; I really enjoyed reading that one. :)

  4. On someone's list I saw Neverwhere was made into a TV movie or something. But, yes, that's one I'd love to see, too, and a Handmaid's tale. Great stories.
