Totally agree about The Hobbit! Can't wait for the Hollywood adaptation. Feels like we've been waiting forever.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on a terrific blogfest - it was a blast!
The Handmaid's Tale wasn't up to much IMHO. I haven't read the book but it was just very pale.
ReplyDeleteI since heard a radio interview with the director and he actually said that he had lost his interest in movie-making at that time...which is quite a confession, but it explains a lot.
The last four on your to see list, from The Firm to Green Tomatoes, were all very good. Those are worth renting for sure, as movies. I haven't read the books.
The Secret Life of Bees is a great book--and in some ways it's better than the movie. I had forgotten they'd made a movie of Matilda; I really enjoyed reading that one. :)
ReplyDeleteAgain, sorry about mixing up the posting dates. Thank you so much for hosting this blogfest!
On someone's list I saw Neverwhere was made into a TV movie or something. But, yes, that's one I'd love to see, too, and a Handmaid's tale. Great stories.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree I'd like to see A Handmaid's Tale made into a movie. Great one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting such a fun blogfest. Had a great time with it.
yes! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the Hobbit as a blockbuster movie.
ReplyDeleteInteresting list. How I wish I was a movie director!
