Meet Sandi Shelton #1

I was introduced to:(website link) Sandi Shelton
by chance, when I won one of Angela Felstead's Adopt a Book Friday Novel Giveaway at her My Poetry and Prose Place Blog.
I became the proud winner of
'Kissing Games of the World'
Kissing Games of the World: A Novel

I loved this novel and immediately Googled the author's website.
Sandi very kindly agreed to take part in an interview, which I have decided to present as a series of three short blog posts, starting with this one. I am thrilled and honoured to present her answers here.
Today she talks about developing her characters in Kissing Games of the World:

Come back tomorrow to hear #2 more about Sandi's writing journey/process.

And to my blog readers I will ask:
Do you plan and research your novels in the same way as Sandi?

  1. Hi Madeleine and Sandi .. a really interesting part one .. love the research elements .. delving into health challenges and remedies, as well as the historical aspects of the farm .. look forward to tomorrow

    Cheers - Hilary

  2. Woo Hoo! She granted you an interview. I am so psyched to read it! Like you, I LOVED kissing games of the world.

Is there a link to her website on here someplace?

  3. Sandi Shelton! Yeah! Yeah!
    We all love Sandi Shelton!!

  4. Nice to meet you Sandi! Research is fun. I love it. I use familiar places or to a ton of research on the Internet. I use Yahoo customer reviews and even Google Earth.

  5. How exciting! It's so wonderful when an author turns out to be laid back, willing to talk and even fun to get to know. Great job!

  6. Yes Angela, just click on her name on the post and it will take you there

Glad you are excited by the interview everyone :O)

  7. I love author interviews, gaining an insight into another writers life.

I'm off to visit Sandi's website - thank you!
