Lisa from Writing in the Buff is hosting a weekly fest posting a picture as a book cover. The goal: Write a book jacket blurb (150 words or less) so enticing that potential readers would feel compelled to buy the book.
MY BLURB:
Rachel and Jake are being watched, but by what? The Eye is everywhere and yet no-one has seen it. They must escape before they, too, are brainwashed like so many of their friends and family. Finding Jeddiah is their only hope of saving the human race before it is too late.
Only 51 words I'm afraid.
I'm intrigued! Who is Jeddiah and the eye? Do they know they are being watched? Creepy and dark, just how I like them.
ReplyDeleteOooh....an evil eye! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOoh, so creepy! Love the name Jeddiah.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome - I would totally want to read that!
ReplyDeleteVery imaginative, and eerie feeling. Well done.
ReplyDeleteOh excellent!!! It's snappy, scary and promises intrigue and action and adventure!! I'd buy the book!! Take care

Very good! You didn't need lots of words to get the message across! Great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Like I've said on other blogs, everyone needs to write the book!
ReplyDeleteShort but it worked. Grabbed your attention and raised questions!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great book! I would definitely pick it up.
ReplyDeleteFabulous. I'd read the book.

Sounds exciting! I was going to check out some of the others but the link didn't seem to work... maybe it was just me??
ReplyDeleteHi Madeleine, I've left an award for you on my blog today. :)
ReplyDeleteOh this is very intriguing! And let me tell you, seeing an eye everywhere would not be pleasant-LOL!
ReplyDeleteYikes! It's a horrible feeling, knowing you're being watched - worse still to know you hold the fate of mankind in your hands!
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to take it into a direction that involved intrigue or sci-fi but could not. I enjoyed reading your blurb.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys have amended the link to Lisa's blog :O)
ReplyDeleteHi Madeleine
ReplyDeleteI can really see this being an amazing page turner - terrifying, breathless and mysterious. Fantastic!

What a good idea, like your story to go with it. Hope you're feeling better!
