Rachael Harrie at Rach Writes is running the Second Writers' Platform-Building Crusade. The Crusade is a way to link those within the writing community together with the aim of helping to build our online platforms. The Crusaders are all bloggers in a similar position, who genuinely want to pay it forward, make connections and friends within the writing community, and help build each others' online platforms while at the same time building theirs. 1st Feb -30th April
While Lee at Tossing it Out is running A-Z Blogging Challenge 1st April - 30th April.
The idea is to post something on your blog every day in April except for Sundays. In doing this you will have 26 blog posts one for each letter of the alphabet. Each day you will theme your post according to a letter of the alphabet. You can post essays, short pieces of fiction, poetry, recipes, travel sketches, or anything else you would like to write about. You don't have to be a writer to do this. You can post photos, including samples of your own art or craftwork. Everyone who blogs can post from A to Z.
I am wondering whether both can be achieved or whether I am biting off more than I can chew?
Hey, thanks for linking to the Writer's crusade, and good luck to both of us with the A-Z challenge.
ReplyDeleteI've signed up for the A to Z challenge as well and was wondering whether I've taken on too much. I've decided to do some research and look at the bloggers who took part last year and hopefully this will help me come up with some ideas. Also, I think the key to success here will be planning ahead and having some blogs posts already done and ready to go.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you Kelworthfiles and Ellie
ReplyDeleteI would agree with you about planning ahead. Good luck :O)
I love the idea of the A to Z but chickened out. Am crusading though!
ReplyDeleteGood luck crusading AND a-z blogging!! Phew April suddenly seems so near!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care

Good luck! I'm still 'chewing' on everything I've got going on right now, so I'll just have to enjoy vicariously.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday!
I'm right there with the Crusade, but I chickened out of the A-Z. Good luck with it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - although I don't think I'm personally up to writing 26 posts in April.

Hey Madeleine, great to see you back on board the Crusade :) I've signed up for A-Z as well, looking forward to a busy April ;) Think I'll start scheduling blog posts now...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Rach
Hi Rachael yes scheduled posting is going to be my plan. I hope I can keep up :O)
ReplyDeleteHi Madeleine .. I'm doing the A-Z in April .. at the moment any more would be lunacy?! & I've got nearly! two months to get organised .. brain is working already ..
ReplyDeleteGood luck for whichever or both that you do .. cheers Hilary
Thank you for the mention of A to Z. I'll be linking to your post soon. Glad your joining us. Don't see why the two challenges can't be done together since they are very similar.

Tossing It Out and the Blogging From A to Z April Challenge 2011
It sounds like a lot to do both, but best of luck if you go for it. Just stopping (and following) by as a fellow Crusader.
ReplyDeleteI'm signing up too! It's a challenge alright! I'm going to take the advice of your followers and start planning now.
ReplyDeleteAlready signed up for the A to Z, but I'll definitely check out the crusade. Sounds like a great idea! We all want a writing platform that will blow prospective agents away, right? Thanks for the link! (and hope to post my flowing fonts story soon, I'll let you know..)
ReplyDeleteHello Madeleine - fellow crusader and G8 member. Have you found any extensive blogs for YA fiction? I'm collating resources for us to share. Check out: http://tinyurl.com/4ht2ln8
