Happy Valentines Day!

Is it Getting Hot in Here?
is holding a kiss scene fest.
As you may probably know I've already enjoyed doing an Almost Kiss excerpt for Frankie's Blogfest and so I thought 'What the hell I can go all the way this time, why not?
After researching writing kissing scenes I have produced my excerpt for you below:
Funnily enough my Almost Kiss is a lot more steamy.
So do kiss scenes embarrass you?
Do you like writing them or do you avoid them like the plague?
Check out my Kissing With Confidence post.

ReplyDeleteAwwww I've got Lionel Richie's Hello playing in my head as I read your scrumptious kissing extract!! Lovely!! Take care

Loved your kissing scene, and your microfiction too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day.
Cute! I hope Henry makes it up to Maud for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteTiz a good thing he said No! thanks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene. You see her vulnerability shine throuh. Gorgeous, really!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound like he's a keeper to me. :O)
ReplyDeleteWho invited him to the party. He's no fun!
ReplyDeleteFun roomp Madeleine.
Fun Micro. Enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful scene, about a real kind of love and not just the kiss! Great :-)
ReplyDeleteAwe, wow! That was so sweet!!! So appropriate for today. Happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteYour's was a nice kissing scene. I know I've written some, but now I can't recall any of them specifically. They must not have been very memorable.
ReplyDeleteI did remember to send a thank you your way on my blog today.

This is just lovely - her nervousness, how gentle he is with her. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful v-day! Oh, and to answer - kissing scenes don't embarrass me, there's something so wonderful about a kiss, especially first kisses. Love them! :)
ReplyDeleteFun one for the day, Madeline!! Hope you have a great week! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Sweet kissing scene.
ReplyDeleteKissing scenes only embarrass me if I have to read them aloud.
I enjoyed your kissing scene and microfiction.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind writing kissing scenes and make sure I'm by myself when I read them out loud to edit, just in case they're not as good as they could be.
Kissing scenes don't embarass me! I love them!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
I must be getting really old, all I could see was the clay mud all over them! LOL! Loved the scene you set up and the great follow through!

That was perfect! Loved it.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture in 140-characters-or-less!! Awww indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe kiss was fantastic, too. Love it!

I love your scene and the microfiction! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
That was lovely! I could smell the cold clay.
ReplyDeleteI've only written a teeny quick kiss, I'm gearing up for a real humdinger soon!
Love the microfiction too :-)
This was very nice, and how refreshingly different to have a romantic male lead who is blind. I liked how he put her hand to his heart, and then his to hers, and then the kiss. Lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteJust an "ickle"...LOL! Cute!
ReplyDeleteHow could someone ignore such pleading...loved it!
ReplyDeleteickle - cute! A little surprised he said no!
ReplyDeleteI liked your Kissing entry. Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that he's blind and probably the only person to ever really see her. This was unbelievably sweet!!
ReplyDeleteYour kissing entry is terrific!
ReplyDeleteLove your microfiction. Henry's being quite the stick-in-the-mud!
Great scene and a nice blog design too. I'm a new follower.

How hard hearted! LOL
ReplyDeleteI loved that line when he touches his heart and tells her "You're beautiful in here." So sweet!
ReplyDeleteEdge of Your Seat Romance
I'm pleased you enjoyed my MM and my Just Kiss entry. BLESS YOU EVERYONE!
ReplyDeleteMs. Daisy it's a bit like Ghost with the pottery clay scene LOL!
Old Kitty, yes I had that song playing in my head afterwards, though when I checked out the video clip, it seemed even more corney than when I watched in it in the 1980's!
Lisa, Sonia, Jinksy, Diane, Peggy Yes Henry was just being a tease really. Playing hard to get.
Cold clay and hot interaction. You crafted the nervous tension well :)
ReplyDeleteThis was fantastic. I love your writing it's beautiful for Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet kiss! I love it. :D
ReplyDeleteLovely post :0) and Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteGreat scene! Love your blog and now following! I am a fellow crusader, so please stop by if you get a chance :) Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I guess they do. I wonder how the actors and actresses feel about all the rehearsal of a big long dramatic kiss. Do they practice together, or just show up and do it because its business?
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I had to scroll forever to reach the comment box! :) I write MG with male MCs, so there's not much kissing going on. But then, I don't think I'd know how to write a kiss scene very well. You, on the other hand, clearly know what you're doing!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for kissing!
ReplyDeleteI don't find it embarrassing to write kissing scenes. What I find embarrassing is the thought of who might read them one day (like, ahem, parents or grandparents! I mean, come on, that's a little awkward!).
ReplyDeleteGood scene here. Real, deeper emotion, not just kissing.
