February Blog Contests

Okay so I have two prize contests happening.
Yes two!

One to win a Moleskine notebook.
All you have to do is tell me how you'd use your notebook.
So far I have 7 entries including a poem by Old Kitty.

 You're next...

And one to win a Amazon Book voucher, where you must write a short flash fiction using font names. So far I have 1 entry and 3 others signed up. You're next...

So if you haven't already
Get over to those posts and enter.
You still have a chance.

Otherwise do leave a comment if you don't fancy entering and tell me why the contests don't appeal to you. Let me know what contests you do like?

I'm all ears

BTW Lisa Cardo is holding a February Blog contest on her blogsite Writing in The Buff

Colene from The Journey has a fun blog contest

I also just wanted to say a Huge Congratulations to Old Kitty (Jennifer) of Ten Lives and Second Chances for her story success One tenth of a second in  100 Stories for Queensland

BTW If I haven't yet replied to your comments yet, never fear I will be visiting your blogs soon.
I keep feeling off colour which doesn't help the blogging or the writing I'm afraid.

  1. Cute picture!

    I'm thrilled for Old Kitty.

  2. I try to stay away from contests that divert my creative attention away from my WiP.

And... as much as I love notebooks, I'm stuck in South Africa.

    :-)

  3. I generally don't enter many contests. #1, I figure someone else probably needs the book, money, fuzzy slippers more than I do. And #2, if I kinda sorta know the blogger, I'd be afraid of appearing the mooch. :o)

I do make exceptions if someone is giving away an e-reader. LOL! I really need one of those.

But I love easy contests, random drawings or unusual prizes.

  4. Whoo! Thanks for the shout-out!!

I can't enter the first one because I don't really use notebooks. I want someone who will use it with all their heart to win that one!! I'm still thinking of an idea for the second one!

    Your contests are great!

  6. I've won a few contests and didn't even realized that I had entered them. I guess it was just because I had left a comment at the right time. I like those kinds of contests because they are fun surprises. So far I haven't done contests that involve any work on my behalf which is not to say that I wouldn't consider doing something like that in the future.
Good luck with what you're doing right now!

  7. I read Arlee's comment. It's pretty close to what I would have said. I know it's terrible but true.

I did just enter the moleskin contest. The font blogfest is cool and I'd love to read the entries but I'm knee deep in revisions. Sometimes it’s hard to change mind tracks from one project to another, you know what I mean?

  8. I'm feeling off too, lately. I think winter just gives us the blahs. I can barely keep up with blogs, let alone enter contests. It's hard to do blogfests and things like that too. I'm hoping after my work schedule dies down I'll be able to do a little more with blogging.

  11. Sorry to hear you haven't being feeling well. I used to buy pretty notebooks to write in, but then I'd feel they were too pretty to use and I'd go back to using boring A4 pads.

  12. Awwww Madeleine!! You utter star!! I love your contests - especially your snazzy form for the moleskin notebook but I just couldn't get past wanting to write my Ode to this amazing prize!! LOL!! That's how much it inspired me!! The font competition was so clever!!! Yay!!!!! I did try to write a story... erm... but after I read Dominic's entry - I thought - wow - how could I even try to emulate that!!!

Awww thank you so much for mentioning me *blush, blush, blush*!!!

    yay!! Bunny ears!!! Take care

  14. Sorry I should have mentioned your wonderful poem, Old Kitty, though I did include it in the reckonings for the numbers who'd entered the moleskine contest. Will amend the post now.
Yes Dom's entry is mega impressive I agree.
I'm still feeling a bit weak and washed out today. :O)

  15. Like Arlee said. Plus, I have enough writing projects and commitments on my plate at the moment. :) Maybe someday I'll have more time.

  17. I tend to enter contests where I can win books, and I mostly use books as prizes when I want to have a giveaway. Love book so much...
