Elation Haiku

Theme: Elation
Exams are over
Graduated with honours
The world's my Oyster
Finally rescued
Brimming with such elation
Flushed with gratitude

Filled with elation
My efforts now recognised
Holding an Oscar

Spring is in the air
My heart fills with elation
And second chances

  2. Oh excellent haiku Madeleine, you have certainly caught the occasions well. I especially liked the spring one, because although it is not one of those once in a lifetime feelings, I know exactly where you are coming from!

  15. You've inspired my to try my hand at some haiku and tanka of my own - but they're "horrorku". I submitted them to Scifaikuest this week; we'll see how they fare.

I like the last one, too. Here in San Diego, it's really looking a lot like spring. =]
