Write Resolutions

Since 'memory is to the individual what history is to society' all the positives and negatives of the past go towards making us who we are tomorrow

My Writing Round Up for 2010:

I am thankful for winning a year's free subscription with Writer's Forum.

For having a story published in The Cat magazine.

And also for winning a Moleskin Notebook from Writer's Forum.

I have 5 submissions still pending

I've had 12 rejections, but feel that with every story I craft I am becoming maturer as a writer

= 20 submissions in 2010

I don't usually do New Year's Resolutions, but this year I have decided to take part in Write1 Sub1.

So perhaps with 52 submissions in 2011 I'll have even greater publishing success? Fingers crossed.

What's your mad pledge for the New Year?

  5. Well done on your achievements of 2010. The write 1, sub 1 challenge sounds really hard, but if you can adjust to that level of discipline I bet you'll get more work published. Happy New Year.

  6. Your achievements are far better than mine for 2010. Good luck for 2011. I think the write 1, sub 1 is a good idea. I need to work on my short stories and finish my wip.

  7. Congratulations on your awesome achievements, Madeleine. I know so many wonderful things will happen to you during 2011, because your writing is too good to not gain a wider audience.

My aim for 2011 is to finish writing my novel, but I'm also taking part in Write 1 Sub 1. It's all your fault! LOL.

  8. Happy New Year Madeleine!

    LOL@Ellie

I'm taking part in Wri1Sub1 too ... and I think "mad" sums it up! I will have to see how it goes, because I really want to keep working on my novel now it is properly underway. I don't think I can manage both, but we will have to see.

I really don't have space for any more resolutions, unless it be not wasting time doing things that aren't writing related!
