Resolutions Haiku

 http://youknowthatblog.com/

My promise is made
A New Year's Resolution
How long will it last?

I've taken a vow
I meant it when I said it.
Things seem different now.

A crisp New Year dawns
Inertia defies challenge
No resolution.

  1. These are lovely...quite solemn and poignant. You always produce great haiku.

  5. Gentle haiku - and very well said! The voice of reason :)

By the way, I updated today's post to reflect the new word for next week. I've got to stop doing these things in the middle of the night...

    Happy New Year!

  10. Lovely Haiku! I'm still working on my resolutions...I usually don't finalize them until February. That probably says a lot about me, LOL!
