Haiku Wednesday

This week's theme:
Direction

Drifting into space
Derelict spacecraft, no lights.
Which way is the Earth?

Running through the maze.
A rat caught in a tunnel
Frantic to get out.

Check out my Microfiction Mondays for more Haiku.

  1. Feelings of being lost, not knowing where to turn. I like the image of the drifting spacecraft lost in a sea of stars.

    Very nice!

  2. Lostness is one of those feelings that I don't particularly like...

(Your verse is fine, I just don't like being lost!)
    Fancy Direction?

  4. Ooo. I like. Very sad sounding but I see a little optimism in there in the form of the end to a maze and navigation systems in space!

  6. I love how you play with the theme of directions by exploring the antithesis - a lack of direction. Good stuff!

  7. I think I am the rat in that second haiku. I could find my way out if I knew what destination I wanted to reach!

  9. I can relate - sometimes I feel lost too.

Hey I just noticed your blurb about Raynaud's Disease. My mother suffers from this too, and it's really making her life hell. Do you have any special tips or tricks you can pass on that may help her? She has tried everything, and nothing seems to work very well. She should own stock in hot paws (hand warmers) at this point. Do you take any medication that is particularly effective for you? I'd be interested in getting your thoughts on it. You can email me if you like? My address is pretty easy to figure out... jenn@ my blog name ;) Thanks!
