This week's theme:
Direction
Drifting into space
Derelict spacecraft, no lights.
Which way is the Earth?
Running through the maze.
A rat caught in a tunnel
Frantic to get out.
Check out my Microfiction Mondays for more Haiku.
The ramblings of aspiring author, Madeleine Sara, her dreams to become published and her trials and tribulations along the way. Plus other writerly nuggets of wisdom! Apologies for my typos, I get very cold hands with Raynauds and sometimes there's a persistent kittie on my lap, nudging my hand as I type.
Feelings of being lost, not knowing where to turn. I like the image of the drifting spacecraft lost in a sea of stars.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
Lostness is one of those feelings that I don't particularly like...
ReplyDelete(Your verse is fine, I just don't like being lost!)
Fancy Direction?
I got my goodie pack today and the sly son is going for the marshmallows. Thank you so much I absolutely love it.
ReplyDeleteOoo. I like. Very sad sounding but I see a little optimism in there in the form of the end to a maze and navigation systems in space!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, yes I guess they could be more upbeat, Maybe I'm feeling a little adrift at the mo' myself LOL!
ReplyDeleteJo glad your prize arrived ok. Hope it didn't get crushed at all.
:O)
I love how you play with the theme of directions by exploring the antithesis - a lack of direction. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI think I am the rat in that second haiku. I could find my way out if I knew what destination I wanted to reach!
ReplyDeletevery creative Haiku this week I enjoyed them!
ReplyDeleteI can relate - sometimes I feel lost too.
ReplyDeleteHey I just noticed your blurb about Raynaud's Disease. My mother suffers from this too, and it's really making her life hell. Do you have any special tips or tricks you can pass on that may help her? She has tried everything, and nothing seems to work very well. She should own stock in hot paws (hand warmers) at this point. Do you take any medication that is particularly effective for you? I'd be interested in getting your thoughts on it. You can email me if you like? My address is pretty easy to figure out... jenn@ my blog name ;) Thanks!
Both your Haiku's are awesome but being a sci-fi gal, I loved the first!
ReplyDeleteThe first one really summons some interesting images. Very effective!
