I wondered how many men enjoy reading them as much as we women do?
Then I got hooked. While the characters have their flaws they are very likeable and the solutions to the problems are dealt with in a decent, humane way, making the journey satisfyingly heart-warming. So far there are 11 books in the series, which admittedly could be seen as formulaic, but that is also part of their style, charm and appeal and it means you know you'll be in for a relaxing, often amusing read.
I also agree with Ma Ramotswe that Red bush tea is very refreshing. I adore Red Bush and Vanilla tea.
