Well as a teacher I'm always researching, learning, which is what I love so much about my job.
That's great that you have so much support! We have required ongoing training for my job too, but with the nature of the field, it is usually needed. New research or theories changes everything
Writing is my day job, and one never stops learning about writing, so the answer is yes! ;)
