You're not floundering at all!!
I love the bird haiku and the photo to go, that's quite some hairstyle!
Have a lovely day,
Jade
Lovely haiku, Madeleine. The bird piccie really makes me smile!
Hope the antibios kick in asap, wishing you better.
I wish that I could write lovely haiku when I was sick! :-) Hope you feel better soon.
I'm still in recovery myself--but at least I didn't have to endure medical students.
Hope you get well soon.
I think freestyle is the way to go with poetry. Of course,I'm biased. I love stream of consciousness stuff.
the first one was super cute, that pic is too much. :)
the remaining two are fabulous as always. three splendid haikus in a bunch.

Flounder is a fish
With flailing tail, shiny scale:
Swim away, my friend!
Cheers!

Great haikus on freestyle - especially the wonderful birdie one!! LOL!!!
And none of this floundering - your haikus are spirited and fun!
Please take care and rest and get better Madeleine!! x
Great haikus! I hope you feel better soon.
The first pic of the bird-hair-style made me smile!! Lovely Haikus too!!
Love the haiku. Feel better!
Hi Madeleine
I do hope the antibiotics knock this thing on the head. it's no fun having the vavavoom knocked out of you!
Your Haiku made me smile - and I know what you mean about it being so much more difficult when you don't have a focus!
I slipped in one with the subject of freestyle. :)

Love your haiku.
I'm a fellow crusader and follower. :)
How sweet of you to write a Haiku about my morning hairdo. lol
Take care and feel better soon.
My oldest had to do a big poetry assignment for school. I'll have to ask her if Haiku was a part of it.
I like the changes you've made on your blog, and is that a pic of you I see in the upper right? Or has it been there all this time and I'm just catching on?
Feel better soon. :)
Great verse. Loved them all. Hope you're feeling better.
Greetings from a fellow Crusader.

Good ones! Love the bird's 'do. Hope you feel better quickly!
LOL! Bless you all
I wouldn't count them as my best haiku, but they are such fun to write even when you're feeling ill, though a proper poem needs all my brain power, so I've not written one of those for a while.
What a great haiku Jazzbumpa. :O)
Love the haikus! Hope you're feeling better. Your advice from the workshop transcends all genres, I have some great little stories from overused subjects. I'd like to think I could publish those after a more original one, once my name is out there. I'd hate to waste a great story just because the subject has been done to death.
I always enjoy your haiku, Madeleine. Thanks for sharing with us.
That is the funniest bird!
