Initially I started out with a different idea which grew into a much larger story, that was too long for this contest, but on one of my walks I spied something which sparked the idea for my piece:

This is what inspired the piece:
My interest in TV shows like 'Psychic Detectives' did the rest.

  2. Madeleine - I loved that! I wasn't sure where you were going with it at first with mentioning the lost child and then into what Auntie had said about being a psychic. Now that I think on it a bit, pretty slow of me, don't you think? haha. I seriously loved the piece... it flowed so wonderfully.

I've been tossing a few ideas around, but I'm so behind that I don't think I can join this one. Just in case, though... how long is Mr. Linky open and how does it work for what day to post? I might be able to do it later next week if it'll still be open.

  4. What you wrote sounds like a very good start to something of novel proportions. Good job. I'll have something up at 2 AM California time on Saturday morning. I'll sign up on the linky tonight.

  5. It never fails to amaze me how the smallest thing, such as an image or overheard snippet of conversation, can be the prompt for a story!

I really enjoyed your piece and agree with Arlee Bird, this could be the start of something special.

So far we've had some fab entries from Ellie and Lee and more promised.

Thanks also to Kittie for advertising it on her blog. The more the merrier.

I enjoyed writing my piece and will have to think about possibly making it into something bigger at some stage.:O)

Thanks Julie and Suzanne your comments, like the others are very gratifying.

Yes Jen, I only thought today that I had chosen a bad time to set up this blogfest, but I am hoping if it lasts long enough others may join in.

  13. MADELEINE ~
Very cool story yours! You even used a "shoe" for your "Cinderella's Shoe" Blogfest story. Pretty neat!

Later today, I will try to read the entry posted by every participant in your unique blogfest. This was a good idea (and not too "girlie" either)
    :o) Thanks!
